Jack gets interviewed

Trey at the Neverwinter Nights Podcast interviewed me a while back for the show… and today it hit the airwaves.. er.. I guess not the airwaves.. the netwaves? However you say it, my voice talks about the Jack and the Beanstalk module.

As disturbing as hearing my voice may be.. uh.. well.. it’s there. No telling what can happen on this crazy net thing that Al Gore invented.

I remember signing up on Compuserve a loooooong time ago… and how exciting it was to be able to connect with the world. The longer I play on the net the more I realize I was totally wrong in that thought.

True, someone on the other side of the globe can read this drivel.. but it’s not connecting with the world that was revolutionary. It is connecting with individuals. I used to sit and read my Dungeon Masters Guide if I’d ever find anyone to play with. Now I can talk for free to someone almost anywhere… There is still the problem with governments not trusting eachother.. but .. well.. someday.

Anyway.. I figured if you’re on this blog you’d be interested in the fact that I’ve been interviewed.. so.. there ya have it.

Oh.. in the interview Trey used a composition I did as introduction music.. Here is another version of just the recorder and flute dancing. The link is to a hastily made myspace page so I can share my music… excuse the mess there.

Jack Reviewed!

I’m stoked!

My Jack and the Beanstalk module for Neverwinter Nights (NWN1) was officially reviewed by QSW on “the Vault.”

Some really good points were brought up and there was even a bug that I didn’t catch. I chose the Jack and the Beanstalk version that we had at our house. Little did I know that the story has a number or versions. I’m going to find the version that makes it obvious that Jack is a hero.. and not a thief. … and fix that bug too.

As usual, not much time to type. Being a stay-at-home Dad definately keeps my bloggin’ time short!

Thunder Bowl

I’ve updated my Jack and the Beanstalk module to have more stuff to click on…

I also came up with the solution for keeping Jack’s Mom from going medival if Jack attacks any animals..

If there is any interest, I’ll work on the alternative paths for Jack.. like fishing to make ends meet rather than climbing the beanstalk (though.. that resourse would be limited too..)

Anyway.. if you have already checked out the first edition.. I think you’ll be pleased with this update.

If you haven’t tried it yet… come on!  It doesn’t take adults very long.. and it actually is a lot of fun… oh.. one hint for adults.. feel free to wander the castle before taking the Giant’s wife up on her offer for breakfast.. kids seem to figure this out easily enough.. but adults seem more goal oriented and don’t do as much exploring… ah.. the curiosity of youth.

Anyway.. look for Thunder Alley in the castle.. it’s not marked.. but you’ll probably notice it. It’s just a little thing to show people where Thunder comes from.
